Visit of a delegation from Cambodia

On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, we had a 10-member delegation from Cambodia visit our company.

This visit was requested by Mr. Villinger, an employee of the Steinbeis Research Institute, which has set itself the task of helping to shape the future of the economy and society, i.e. researching for sustainable value creation.Participants included high-ranking state secretaries from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Chairman of Cambodian Development Cooperation, the Deputy Chairman of the Cambodian Investment Authority, deputy governors from three Cambodian provinces and the Program Director for Cambodia at GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation).

Our Managing Director Chia Kim Seah from Singapore was present at this meeting and after a company presentation of BBC Cellpack GmbH by Markus Schmidt, interesting conversations and discussions on the topics arose:

- Assessment of Cambodia as a business location

- Investment opportunities in Cambodia

- Training programs by Cellpack for local fi tters

- Support in the selection of a local distributor

- Development of medium-sized companies in Germany and Switzerland

- Quality assurance standards

This was followed by a production tour with Christian Kunkelmann, during which further questions from the guests were answered.

This interesting exchange ended with a joint photo and we are sure that we will be able to expand our cooperation with Cambodia in the future.
